Consultation on Issues of Single Women with Disabilities

Pahichan Nepal, in partnership with Tewa, organized a consultation program to collect inputs for a
declaration addressing the issues of single women with disabilities.
The program aimed to document lived experiences and priority concerns of single women with
disabilities to strengthen advocacy and policy engagement. Founder Chairperson of Pahichan Nepal,
Ichha KC, shared that the declaration will serve as an important advocacy tool.
The event was conducted under the chief guestship of Mr. Haridatta Joshi, Acting Chairperson of the
National Inclusive Commission. Mr. Devi Dutta Acharya, Federal President of the National Federation of
the Disabled–Nepal, and Mr. Shishir Khanal, President of the Nepal Blind Union, participated as
discussants.
