On February 4, 2026 (Magh 21, 2082), Pahichan Nepal marked a significant milestone in inclusive advocacy with the successful hosting of a central-level Research Paper Dissemination Workshop in Kathmandu. Supported by UK International Development, UN Women, and Hamro Sahas, the event served as a high-level platform for the official release of a critical study titled “Understanding the Impact of Dowry and Early Marriage on Women and Girls with Disabilities in Madhesh Province.” By bridging the gap between grassroots realities and national policy, the workshop brought together policymakers, civil society leaders, and development partners to address how harmful social practices intersect with disability and poverty.

This evidence-based initiative provides a clear roadmap for legislative reforms, reaffirming Pahichan Nepal’s commitment to ensuring that the rights, dignity, and voices of women and girls with disabilities remain at the forefront of the national development agenda.
