Three-day culinary training for single and marginalized women with disabilities to promote healthy eating and self-employment

In recognition of this, Nepal conducted a three-day culinary training for hygienic food and to promote and courage self-employment for single and marginalized women with disabilities with the financial support of the Ministry of Social Development, Bagmati Province from Saturday 2080/02/06 to Monday 2080/02/08.

In this training,  20 women with disability participated. The facilitator of this training was Kamala B.K. a woman with a visual disability and also a co-instructor, Aarya Karki. She facilitated the three-day training and imparted professional skills in preparing or cooking hygienic foods like panipuri, mo mo, chowmein, pancakes, and Algona coffee.For technical convenience, while choosing a clean and healthy place for kitchen, water, and cooking, the organization’s project was conducted at the contact office of Dakshinkali Municipality Ward No. 2, Gwaldaha.

 

 

मधेश प्रदेशका अपांगता भएका महिलाहरु

बि.स २०७५ सालमा अपांगता भएका महिलाहरुको हक अधिकार र संरक्षण र प्रबर्द्धन गर्ने उदेश्यले खोलिएको एक गैरसरकारी संस्था हो। विशेष गरि पहिचान सबै प्रकारको अपाङ्गता भित्र पनि एकल ,मदेशी ,दलित र जनजाती भएका सबै प्रकारको सबालमा  काम गर्ने एक गैरसरकारी संस्था हो। यस संस्थाको अध्यक्ष्य श्री इछ्या केशीको अध्यक्ष्यतामा  यो संस्था संचालन हुदै आइरहेको छ।

पहिचान नेपालले स्थापनाकालदेखि हालसम्म अपाङ्गता भएको महिलाहरुको विभिन्न सबालमा निरन्तरता दिदै आइरहेको छ। यसको साथसाथै पहिचान नेपालले बिगत २ बर्षदेखी Disability Rights Fund को आर्थिक सहयोगमा मधेश प्रदेशमा भएका महिलाहरुको र विभिन्न सबालको  पहिचान गरि उक्त साबलामा आवाजहरु उठाउने कार्यमा निरन्तरता दिदै आइरहेको छ। मधेश प्रदेशमा भएका महिलाहरुको शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य ,रोजगार। स्वरोजगार ,प्रजनन स्वास्थ्य ,स्वतन्त्र र सम्मननिये  जिबन प्राप्त गर्ने आधारहरु पहल गर्नमा समेत यस सस्थाले महत्वपुर्ण भूमिका  खेलेको छ। मधेश प्रदेशमा रहेका महिलाहरुलाई नैतिकताको हिसाबले पछाडी पारिएका कारणले पनि हाम्रो सवाल हाम्रो नेतृत्व भन्ने भनाइ संगै अपाङ्गता भएका महिलाहरुको बिकासको लागि अपाङ्गता भएका महिलाहरु स्वयम्लाई सहभागिता जनाई नेतृत्व विकास,अन्याय ,र विभेदीकरण बिरुद्द बुलन्द आवाज उठाउन सम्बन्धित निकायहरुलाई पहल गराउने प्रयास गरिरहेको अबस्था छ। यसको साथसाथै अपाङ्गता  भएका महिलाहरुको लागि वकालत तथा पैरवीहरु र व्यक्तित्व बिकासको लागि बाक्कला सम्बन्धि तालिमहरु दिदै आएको छ।

मधेश प्रदेशमा रहेका घरभित्र सिमित भएका महिलाहरुलाई घरबाहिर तथा विभिन्न कार्यक्रममा सहभागी गराउनु र तालिम दिनु आफैमा चुनौतिपूर्ण हुदाहुदै पनि हरेक कार्यक्रम र गतिविधिमा उलेखनीय  र महत्वपुर्ण उपलब्धिको रुपमा पनि लिन  सकिन्छ।  छोरीलाई बोझको रुपमा लिने बुहारी लाई दाइजो संग तुलना गर्ने कुप्रथाले जड गाडेको यस मधेश प्रदेशमा छोरी र बुहारीमा अपाङ्गता देखिनु  झन् अर्को कठिन परस्थिति हेपाइ र दुर्ब्यबहार बाट ग्रसित हुनुपर्ने बाध्यता याथावत नै कायम रहेको छ। जसको कारणले गर्दा अपाङ्गता भएका महिलाहरुको बिबाह नहुने र भएपनि दाइजो संह तुलना गरि छोरीको सहमति बिना नै जबर्जस्ती बिबाह गरिदिने कुप्रथा यथावत नै रहेको पायिनछ। जसले गर्दा अपाङ्गता भएका महिलाहरुले शारीरिक ,मानसिक तथा घरेलुहिंसा  जस्ता समस्या भोग्नुपर्ने बाध्यता यथावत रुपमा कायम नैं रहेको पाइनछ ।  कार्यक्रमको शिलशिलामा  हामीले एक जना महिलाको मर्मस्पर्शी वास्तविक कहानीलाई जोडेका छौ।  एकजना जुनु नाम गरेकी महिला थिइन्। उनको ७ बर्सको उमेरमा  टाइफाइडको  कारणले गर्दा दुवै आँखाको दृष्टि गुमाउन पुगिन र दृष्टिबिहिन  हुन पुगिन दृष्टिबिहिनकै  कारणले आफुले पाउनुपर्ने शिक्षाबाट र समाजमा गरिने हरेक क्रियाकलापबाट बन्चितहुन पुगिन। उनको उमेर बढे संगै उनलाई घरपरिवारले जबर्जस्ति बिबाह गरिदियो र बिबाहमा सकेजति दाइजो पनि दियो जुन घरमा बिबाह गरेर गएकी  थिईन  त्यो घरमा पनि उनलाई न घरपरिवारले न उनको श्रीमान्ले कसैले पनि माया ममता र घरको स्थानमा कुनै हक अधिकार दिएनन् बिबाह भएको केहि समयपछि उनको बच्चा जन्मियो बच्चा जन्मिएको खुसियालीमा घरपरिवार तथा श्रीमानले स्याहार सुसार ,पालनपोषण गर्नुको सट्टा गाईभैसी  बाँध्नने गोठमा छुट्टै राखिएको थियो ,जुन दु:ख उनले आफ्नो  माईतीमा ब्यक्त गरिन बिहे गरेको छोरीले आफ्नै घर गरि खानुपर्छ हामीले तिमीलाई दाइजो सहित बिहे गरेर पठाको हो भन्ने मनशय माईतिको हुन्छ तर घरमा पनि श्रीमान्ले जुनुलाई माया दिनुकोसट्टा अर्की श्रीमती बिहे गर्छन र जुनुलाई वास्तासम्म पानि गर्दैनन् जसको कारणले जुनु आजसम्म पनि आफ्नो जिबन गुजार्न घरबाहिर तथा अर्काको भरमा पर्नुपर्ने बाध्यता छ।

त्यस्तै अर्को सहभागी सुशीलाको वास्तबिकता येसरी उल्लेख गरिएको छ। सुशीला नाम गरेकी एक शारीरिक अपाङ्गता भएकी एक महिला थिईन उनको बाबुआमा बृद्ध अवस्थामा पुग्नु भैसकेको थियो जसको कारणले गर्दा उनि आफ्नो दाजुभाउजु  संग निर्भर रहनु पर्ने बाध्यता उनलाई थियो र उनको दाजुभाउजुको व्यवहार भने अपाङ्गता भएकै कारणले गर्दा  उलाई शिक्षा बाट वञ्चित गराइएको थियो र तेरो अपाङ्गताको उपचारमा खर्च लाग्यो अब हामि केहि गर्न सक्दैनौ भन्ने जस्ता अपमानजनक व्यवहार र सब्दले सुशीला घरपरिवारको साथ सहयोगबाट वञ्चित छिन। हाल उनि साना -साना केटाकेटीहरुलाई ट्युसन पढाएर आफ्नो गुजारा चलाइरहेकी छिन्।

यस्ता शुशिला र जुनुजस्ता हजारौ महिलाहरुको जिवनमा यस्ता वास्तविकताहरु विद्यमान छ । जुन मर्मस्पर्शी वास्तविकतामा सुधार लेराउनको लागि अबको यस संस्थाको अभियान भनेको स्थानिय निकाय देखि सरकारी निकायसम्म समस्याको समाधान गर्नको  लागि वकालत तथा पैरवीहरुमा पहल गर्नु हो।
